Seed + amplifier + linear cavity SHG system (MSHG)

The MOGLabs MSHG combines our highly efficient linear cavity frequency doubler with a seed laser and amplifier, to provide a single high-power laser system. Common wavelengths include 798/399nm for ytterbium, 840/420nm and 960/480nm for rubidium, 922/461nm for strontium and 1020/510nm for caesium. Unlike bow-tie ring cavities, the linear cavity is a rock solid monolithic design with no kinematic adjustment to the cavity required by the user, providing stable and robust sources for new wavelengths. Overall doubling efficiency is typically 50 to 60% for mid-power amplified systems (0.5 to 5 watts), and can be optimised for low power direct ECDLs (e.g. 100mW) to achieve higher efficiencies(up to 70%).

The MSHG is a complete doubling system in a single chassis combining a MOGLabs seed laser and optical amplifier, including input mode matching, temperature stabilisation, PDH (or FM-demodulation) locking, and fibre output options for both a fundamental seed laser monitor and the harmonic. The MSHG can also be configured with fibre input to the amplifier when a seed laser is not required. When neither an integrated seed laser or amplifier are required, we have instead our standalone complete doubler system (MSL).

The MSHG uses a variant of our mLC mini laser controller as the controller for the cavity, which comes with integrated digital control, installed within the main chassis, so no external cavity control electronics box is required.
